Mission Statement
CREDD's main goal is the promotion and development of Romanian human potential as well as contributing to the sustainable development of Romania, in the spirit of democratic values. We develop and implement activities in the following fields:
Civic Education, especially for the young generation;
Sustainable development of Romanian democracy in all dimensions of social, economic and political life;
Promotion of Romanian values and achievements, internally and internationally;
Promoting partnership and cooperation with other Romanian and foreign NGOs;
Monitoring and defending human rights.
What we do
The main activities of CREDD are aimed towards the hereinabove described goals, and can be divided into two categories, depending on the target groups. On one side, for the younger age group, with medium and higher education, we develop educational and research programs, encouraging them to fulfill their potential, both on the academic and sociopolitical level. On the other side, for the general public, we develop and sustain programs for the dissemination of information, encouraging people to take an active part in the decision-making process with impact on public policies.
We organise debates and public opinion pools;
We conduct programs in the fields of research, training and continuing education;
We organise public image campaigns;
We offer research scholarships and financial support for Romanian students in the field of social sciences;
We publish readers, researches, informative materials and our periodic magazine;
We establish partnerships with similar NGOs from Romania and abroad;
We are conducting training and assistance programs for young people with a strong educational background.
CREDD maintains active links with mass-media, to insure a larger impact of its programs.
